These terms govern your use of layeredmoose.com and our custom 3D printing services, operated by Layered Moose LLC ("Layered Moose," "we," "us"). By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them.
We produce and ship custom 3D-printed goods: from files you upload, designs created with our AI Design Studio, photo-based quotes, and catalog products. Instant estimates are good-faith calculations; the price shown at checkout is the price you pay.
You keep ownership of files, photos, and ideas you submit. You grant us the license needed to produce, quality-check, photograph, and ship your order, and to store your files and designs so you can reorder and edit them. You promise your content doesn't infringe anyone's rights, and you won't order items that are weapons or weapon parts, infringe trademarks or copyrights, or are illegal or intended to harm or deceive. We may decline any order at our discretion.
Designs are generated with AI assistance and shown to you with exact dimensions and a live 3D preview before you pay. Your approval is the blueprint: when you check "I approve this design as shown," you confirm you've double-checked the displayed dimensions against your space or the item the part must fit, and we print exactly to them. Prints that match the approved dimensions and preview are considered correct — if an approved size turns out not to fit your space, a resized version is a new order (we'll gladly help you adjust the design). Our reprint promise (Section 5) covers print quality and defects, not changes to approved dimensions. Designing is free; you pay only if you order. Design files remain on our systems and are licensed, not sold; ordering a print does not transfer the digital file.
Accounts are keyed to your email (login codes, Google, or Apple sign-in). You're responsible for access to your own email and devices. We may close accounts that abuse the service.
Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number. Sales tax is collected where required. You can cancel free with a full refund any time before printing starts (right from the order status page); once your order is on a printer, a 50% print fee applies to the items and shipping is refunded in full. If your item arrives damaged or doesn't match what you approved, contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos — we'll reprint it or refund it. Our quality promise: a real person inspects and photographs every order before it ships.
We ship within the United States using the carrier and service you select at checkout. Delivery estimates are estimates. Risk of loss passes on delivery; lost-in-transit packages are our problem to fix, not yours.
If you provide your phone number at checkout, you consent to receive order-status text messages (and login codes you request). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out any time — you'll still get updates by email.
Some orders are produced by approved independent print providers in our network under our quality standards. Your contract is always with Layered Moose; we remain responsible for your order.
3D-printed plastic parts have limits: they are not certified for load-bearing, safety-critical, medical, food-contact, or high-heat use unless we say so in writing. The service is provided "as is" to the extent the law allows. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.
These terms are governed by South Carolina law. We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date. Questions first, always: most issues are solved with one email.
